Jarobi Moorhead is a three-time Emmy Award–winning producer and cultural strategist working across documentary, scripted narrative, and immersive visual experiences.
His work is rooted in uncovering overlooked histories and reexamining the narratives that shape our collective understanding. His credits include the Emmy Award–winning Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project, Little Richard: I Am Everything, 13 Days in Ferguson, and the Oscar-shortlisted Black Girls Play: The Story of Hand Games.
He is currently producing Romare Bearden: A Life in Collage and co-directing A Dream Displaced, a feature documentary examining eminent domain and Black land loss. His films have premiered at Sundance and Tribeca, earned Grand Jury Prizes, and have been distributed by HBO, Netflix, Peacock, and PBS.
Jarobi is the co-founder of Thee Color Block, a multidisciplinary creative studio and cultural platform that extends his storytelling beyond the screen through curated gatherings, immersive events, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Across all mediums his work is rooted in stewardship, using art to preserve memory, deepen understanding, and create space for new futures.
